A group of four Dutch handicapped people has entered Nepal from Nepal-China border of Kodari on July 8, 2009 by specially made wheelchairs. This is claimed to be the first time Hand Bike ( Wheel Chair) Expedition of Handicapped people entering Nepal by wheelchair from Tibetan side. The team successfully completed the wheel chair journey expedition from Lhasa to Kathmandu within 15 days crossing 950 km distance.

The objective of the Hand Bike Expedition of Handicapped people is to convey the message that the handicapped people also can achieve the feats with strong will power. The expedition is aimed at motivating and inspiring the handicapped people of the world.

The Hand Bike Expedition of Handicapped people from The Netherlands is expected to convey the message to the world that Nepal can be an adventure and fun destination for all categories of adventure seekers from around the world.
